The Gauteng province has appointed 30 GBV social workers who provide long-term psychosocial support, enhanced by non-profit organizations. The Victim Empowerment Programmes include shelter services, victim-friendly rooms, awareness and prevention initiatives, men empowerment programs, human trafficking victim support, Thuthuzela Care Centers, LGBTIAQ+ services, skills development, and ongoing staff capacity building for NPOs.
